To sign up and start using Second Life please follow the steps below.  Note that this process could take as much as an hour so you should sign up and get used to working in Second Life well before show time.

1. Go to www.secondlife.com and register for a basic account.  This will require you to select an Avatar name and enter some other basic information.  During the sign up process it is not necessary to get a premium account but it is helpful to enter a credit card so that when you want to go to a show at the Bluebird Cafe SL you already have your payment information on file.
2. Once your account is created download the proper Second Life browser to your system and follow the installation instructions.
3. Once the installation is complete, login to Second Life and using the First and Last Name of the account you created in Step 1.
4. On your first Login to Second Life you will be brought to the Second Life training area known as Orientation Island.  If you have some time it maybe handy to walk around this area and familiorize yourself with Second Life.  If you feel comfortable getting around or its getting close to show time go to the next step to find the Bluebird Cafe SL.
5. To find the Bluebird Cafe SL in Second Life, click on the MAP button at the bottom of your screen.  In the search field enter the name "Nashville Music City" and press the Search button.
6. Once the search comes back the Nashville Music City island will appear on the left.  Double click on the island to be Teleported to the Bluebird Cafe SL.
